أفاد المعهد الوطني للجيوفيزياء التابع للمركز الوطني للبحث العلمي والتقني، بأن هزة أرضية بقوة 5.2 درجات على سلم ريشتر، ضربت مساء الاثنين، إقليم وزان.
وأبرز المعهد أن مركز الزلزال، الذي وقع على عمق 20 كيلومترا، تم تحديده بـ 34،954 درجة شمالا وخط طول 5،635 درجات غربا.
وأوضح أن مركز هذه الهزة الأرضية، التي وقعت حوالي الساعة الحادية عشر و 48 دقيقية و 43 ثانية ليلا تم تسجيله بجماعة بريكشة التابعة لإقليم وزان.
وحسب ما أفادت به السلطات المحلية لوكالة المغرب العربي للأنباء، فإن هذه الهزة لم تخلف أية خسائر.
وبحسب تصريح للسيد ناصر جبور، مدير المعهد الوطني للجيوفيزياء فإن الهزة الأرضية التي شعر بها المواطنون في عدد من المدن المغربية في حدود الساعة الحادية عشر و48 دقيقة، بلغت قوتها 5.02 على مقياس ريشتر، وشعر بالهزة سكان مدن الرباط، سلا، تمارة، القنيطرة، الدارالبيضاء، وفاس والحاجب والقصر الكبير ووزان والعرائش
